Job summary

Psybergate (Pty) Ltd is seeking a senior Android developer to design and build an Android terminal application using .NET MAUI. You will translate requirements into robust features, integrate with backend systems including payment and fleet services, and test on Cape Town terminals.

You will own features end-to-end and contribute to architectural direction. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software development, strong .NET/C# skills, and hands-on Android experience with device SDKs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong commercial experience with .NET and C#.
• Proven hands-on experience delivering applications using .NET MAUI or Xamarin.Forms.
• Strong Android development experience.
• Experience with Android native interoperability and hardware/device SDKs.
• Experience developing applications that interact with physical devices or terminals.
• Practical experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Ability to work independently with loosely defined requirements and make technical decisions.
• Experience contributing to technical design and application architecture.

• Work independently with loosely defined requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.

What we are looking for:
