Job summary

Paracon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Senior .NET Developer for a 12-month contract in Cape Town, with a hybrid work model and preference for local candidates. The role focuses on building and supporting secure business applications and APIs within an enterprise information security programme.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software development, 5+ years hands-on .NET, and deep C# skills, including Web API, SQL Server, and EF.

Qualifications

At least 8 years of software development and 5 years hands-on Microsoft .NET work.
Strong C# and .NET delivery with ASP.NET MVC or Web API experience.
Experience with Entity Framework and SQL Server/T-SQL.
Delivery of enterprise applications, REST APIs, and integrations with Git source control.
Ownership of design, testing, production support, and performance/reliability improvements.
Ability to work with security and business stakeholders in a regulated enterprise.

Responsibilities

Build and support secure business applications and APIs for an enterprise information security programme.
Enhance an existing self-service platform and integrate with other systems.
Resolve production issues and improve platform reliability.
Collaborate with security specialists, analysts, project managers and other developers.
Contribute to technical design and hands-on development for secure software.
