Samaha Consulting in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior .NET Developer for a 12-month contract with potential permanence. The role requires expert proficiency in .NET 8+ and C# 12+, and is based in Johannesburg with a hybrid schedule: four days in the office (Mon-Thu) and remote on Fridays.

The candidate will design, build, and optimize distributed microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and event-driven workloads, while mentoring peers and leading performance improvements.

Qualificações

• Expert level proficiency in .NET 8+ and C# 12+.
• Strong experience with Dapper / EF Core and ORM tuning.
• Advanced SQL Server skills: tuning, indexing, execution plans.
• Knowledge of ACID, isolation levels, deadlocks, sharding, partitioning.
• Redis expertise and caching strategies. (Beneficial)
• Elasticsearch experience for indexing, search performance. (Beneficial)
• Microservices design and event-driven architecture.
• API design (REST / gRPC) with versioning strategies.
• Ability to lead design discussions and influence architecture without formal authority.
• Incident response and production-operational improvement experience.

Responsabilidades

• Build and enhance scalable systems within a distributed microservices architecture.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs with strong versioning and documentation standards.
• Develop event-driven services using message queues for high-volume workloads.
• Design and optimize databases, queries, and indexing for high throughput.
• Implement advanced caching patterns (Redis) to reduce latency.
• Drive code quality through rigorous reviews and SOLID principles.
• Mentor junior/mid developers and support their growth.
• Lead adoption of testing practices (unit, integration, load).
• Lead incident response and post-mortems to improve stability.
