Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment seeks a seasoned .NET Developer with experience in payment systems and IBM technologies. The role involves collaborating across teams, maintaining integration components, and delivering robust software solutions from design to deployment.

You will work with JSON/XML messaging and ASC, C#.NET, and Visual Studio in a Windows environment, reporting to the Pretoria/Somerset West offices as required.

Qualifications

• Relevant IT or computer/engineering qualification.
• 5–10 years of integration-focused software development experience.
• Experience with JSON and XML messaging exchange.
• XML messaging and schema validation knowledge.
• Able to mentor teammates and collaborate in a UML design model.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, tools and software development methodologies.
• In-depth ASP.NET, C#.NET, XML knowledge; DotNet 4.7.2.
• XML/JSON messaging interactions; namespace management.
• Experience with SQL relational databases (MS SQL 2008+).
• Familiarity with SoapUI or Postman; Visual Studio.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop new integration functionality and components.
• Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams to refine and implement requirements.
• Refactor and improve code for maintainability, scalability and adaptability.
• Follow development standards, processes and best practices.
• Evaluate and improve application performance, reliability and availability.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Perform root-cause analysis on defects and production issues.
• Participate in building, packaging and deployment processes.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team collaboration.
