Betway Group in Pretoria seeks an experienced backend software engineer to join our enterprise-scale microservices platform. You will influence architecture, mentor engineers, and optimize systems using .NET 8+ and C# 12+ with async/await and performance tuning.

Strong SQL Server capabilities, ORM trade-offs with EF Core and Dapper, and experience with event-driven patterns (RabbitMQ/Kafka/Azure Service Bus) are essential. Azure DevOps, OpenTelemetry, and a focus on quality code are expected.

Formación

• 7+ years of backend software development experience.
• Experience building and maintaining microservices at enterprise scale.
• Expert-level .NET 8+ and C# 12+ (async/await, LINQ, performance tuning).
• Strong SQL Server skills: indexing, execution plans, statistics.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus).
• Proven design leadership, mentorship, and system optimization.

• Ensure backward compatibility and API versioning strategies.
