Job summary

Betway Africa is seeking a Senior Multimedia AV Designer to craft compelling motion graphics, animation and multimedia content across South Africa and Africa. You will own projects from brief to delivery, collaborating with designers and stakeholders to translate business needs into engaging visuals.

You will leverage generative AI tools and industry-standard software to push creative boundaries, mentor junior designers, and stay ahead of trends in AI-driven multimedia production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in motion graphics and animation.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of motion design principles including timing, dynamics and layout.
• Experience using generative AI and AI-powered tools to create images and video.
• Experience collaborating within cross-functional creative teams and managing multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency across outputs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ownership from brief to delivery.

Are you an experienced motion designer who can turn great creative ideas into high-impact visual content?

We’re looking for a Senior Multimedia AV Designer to create engaging motion graphics, animation and multimedia content across South Africa and the rest of Africa. You’ll combine strong creative thinking with technical expertise, experiment with AI-powered creative tools and help raise the standard of work across the studio.

• Take ownership of projects from brief through to final delivery, ensuring work is accurate, on-brand and delivered to a high standard.
• Collaborate with designers, Studio Leads and stakeholders to develop concepts and translate business requirements into engaging creative solutions.
• Use AI-powered image and video generation tools to accelerate production, explore concepts and develop innovative visual assets.
• Apply strong animation principles, including timing, movement, dynamics and layout, to produce polished motion content.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines, troubleshoot technical challenges and adapt quickly when priorities change.
• Stay current with emerging trends, technologies and techniques across motion design, AI and multimedia production.
• Mentor and inspire junior and mid-level AV designers, sharing knowledge and helping strengthen the wider creative team.

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years’ experience in motion graphics and animation, supported by a portfolio demonstrating strong creative and technical capability.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of motion design and animation principles, including timing, dynamics and layout.
• Experience using generative AI and AI-powered creative tools to develop images, video, concepts or other visual assets.
• Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional creative teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain consistency and accuracy across creative outputs.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to take ownership of work from brief to delivery.

It would be an advantage if you also have:

• Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender or other 3D tools.
• Knowledge of sports betting markets, betting types, odds and market trends.
• Previous experience within the online gaming or casino industry.
• Understanding of gambling regulations and compliance requirements across different jurisdictions.
