Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Senior Mobile Platform Engineer in Stellenbosch. You will design and build mobile platforms across Android and iOS, leverage cross‑platform tech, and drive secure, scalable client-server architectures.

You will mentor peers, contribute to architecture documentation, and collaborate in an agile team to deliver robust apps and testable solutions while embracing ambiguity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Android development with Java/Kotlin and Android platform knowledge.
• iOS development with Objective-C/Swift and iOS platform knowledge.
• Experience with cross‑platform technologies (React Native, Flutter).
• Experience with client‑server architectures.
• Experience building and distributing apps for pre-release testing and app stores.
• Proficient debugging with various tools to fix defects and memory leaks.
• Networking experience (REST, gRPC, WebSockets).
• Familiar with Cordova and Kendo for porting.
• Strong version control and branching strategies.
• Experience with Huawei HMS ecosystem.
• Design for testability; architecture and documentation skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, mentoring, and teamwork.
