Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Mining Engineering; MSc is advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mining engineering roles.
• Proven experience in both underground and open-pit mining operations.
• Strong knowledge of mine design, planning software, and simulation tools.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical guidance on all aspects of mining engineering, including planning, design, and execution.
• Develop, review, and approve mine plans, schedules, and budgets for mining operations.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead feasibility studies and technical reviews for new mining projects and expansions.
• Mentor and guide junior mining engineers, fostering their professional development.
• Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
