Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years in environmental management, with mining exposure.
- Strong knowledge of SA environmental legislation (NEMA, MPRDA).
- Experience with EIAs and EMPs.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental management plans and policies.
- Ensure compliance with national and local environmental laws.
- Oversee monitoring programs for water, air, biodiversity.
- Manage EIAs and EMPs for new projects and expansions.
- Lead rehabilitation and closure planning for mines.
- Engage regulators, communities, and stakeholders.
- Provide environmental training to site personnel.
