Placements24 is seeking a Senior Metallurgical Process Engineer for operations near Mahikeng, North West. You will optimize and troubleshoot metallurgical processes to improve recovery, cut costs, and ensure product quality.

Collaboration with operations, labs, and R&D teams is essential to drive efficiency and innovation. The role requires strong background in mineral processing, with 8+ years’ experience, and proficiency in comminution, flotation, leaching, and refining.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering is required.
• Master's degree in Metallurgy or advanced diploma is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plant performance data to identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Develop and implement process modifications to enhance recovery and reduce costs.
• Troubleshoot metallurgical issues in plant operations.
• Conduct pilot plant trials and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
• Mentor junior metallurgical engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
