Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience as Medical Aesthetician and Laser Technician.
• Proven experience with advanced skincare treatments and modalities.
• In-depth knowledge of skin physiology, anatomy and common skin conditions.
• Excellent understanding of laser physics and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct skin analyses and consultations to build personalized treatment plans.
• Perform advanced facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning.
• Operate and maintain medical lasers and energy-based devices for treatments such as hair removal and skin rejuvenation.
• Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care and product recommendations.
• Maintain accurate client records and document treatment progress.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated, sterilized and maintained per safety standards.
• Stay updated on latest trends and best practices in medical aesthetics.
• Collaborate with medical director and team to optimize protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive skin analysis and consultations to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Perform a wide range of medical aesthetic treatments, including advanced facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and dermaplaning.
• Operate and maintain various medical-grade laser and energy-based devices for treatments such as hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and tattoo removal.
• Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care, as well as recommend suitable skincare products.
• Maintain accurate and detailed client records, documenting treatment progress and outcomes.
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated, sterilized, and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in medical aesthetics and laser treatments.
• Provide exceptional client service, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience.
• Collaborate with the clinic's medical director and other team members to optimize treatment protocols.
• Manage appointment schedules and ensure efficient workflow within the treatment area.
• Contribute to client retention and business growth through expert service and client relationship building.

Requirements

• Relevant professional qualification in Aesthetics or Cosmetology.
• Certification in operating various types of medical lasers and energy-based devices.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Medical Aesthetician and Laser Technician.
• Proven experience with advanced skincare treatments and modalities.
• In-depth knowledge of skin physiology, anatomy, and common skin conditions.
• Excellent understanding of laser physics and safety protocols.
• Strong consultation, communication, and client service skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including some weekends, in Soweto , with potential for some remote client consultation aspects.
