Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a senior Mechatronics/Product Development Engineer in South Africa. You will lead electro-mechanical design and develop production-ready solutions using SolidWorks, while coordinating with electronics and embedded systems teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience with mechatronics product development and SolidWorks.
• Exposure to electronics, embedded systems, and sensor integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electro-mechanical products and systems.
• Design mechanical assemblies and production-ready solutions using SolidWorks.
• Develop and improve products from concept through manufacturing and implementation.
• Support electronics integration, sensors, embedded systems, and control technologies.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, validation, and product improvement activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide engineering guidance.
• Develop technical documentation, engineering drawings, and product specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
