Job summary

Raubex is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead technical activities at the Bon Accord Asphalt Plant. The role focuses on designing, maintaining, and improving mechanical systems to ensure reliability, safety, and cost-effective operation.

The successful candidate will manage maintenance programs, assess equipment performance, and drive projects from initiation to completion while coordinating with Operations, Procurement and SHEQ teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in heavy industrial or plant environments.
• Proven capability in maintenance, asset management, reliability engineering, and project management.
• Experience in fault diagnosis, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Budget management, contractor oversight and technical procurement.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for mechanical design, maintenance and reliability of plant equipment.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, modification and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Investigate failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective/preventative measures.
• Review drawings and specs, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Manage engineering projects, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder coordination.
• Lead and mentor engineers and maintenance personnel.
