The successful candidate will apply theory and practical engineering to deliver safe, compliant solutions while coordinating with customers, suppliers and field teams. Strong supervisory skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• Experience in overseeing design, development and manufacturing processes.
• Leadership and mentoring of engineers and technicians essential.
• Familiarity with offshore drilling equipment and relevant standards advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects and provide technical guidance.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Shadow and learn company processes across design, inspection and repair.
• Perform in-house development including 3D CAD modelling, strength calculations and fabrication data packs.
• Lead procurement, logistics and project delivery with delegation as needed.
• Provide expert technical advice and coach technicians.
• Ensure compliance with codes, QC policies and specifications.
• Deliver progress reports to management and customers.
• Draft new procedures and initiate corrective actions when required.
• Maintain safe work practices at all times.
