Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and project execution for diverse construction and industrial facilities in Nelspruit. You will oversee mechanical systems from concept through commissioning, ensuring energy efficiency and adherence to budget and schedule.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, plus experience managing complex projects and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA preferred.
• Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and HAP is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of mechanical systems for building projects.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and staff.
• Oversee projects within Mpumalanga region (beneficial).
