Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with HVAC specialization.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in HVAC design and project management.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and HVAC principles.
• Proficient in Revit MEP, HAP, and energy modeling tools.
• Experience with project management methodologies and software.
• Strong leadership and client/contractor communication skills.

Responsibilities

This role is central to designing, implementing, and managing complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and industrial facilities. You will lead project teams, ensure system efficiency and compliance, and contribute to sustainable building design. This hybrid position allows for collaborative work at the office and focused technical tasks from home, supporting major engineering projects within Gauteng.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and specification of large-scale HVAC systems, including load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork design.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project timelines.
• Perform system analysis and troubleshooting to optimize performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for HVAC engineering projects.
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant building codes, standards (e.g., SANS), and environmental regulations.
