Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex mechanical systems and components for energy generation, storage, and distribution applications using advanced CAD software.
• Perform detailed engineering analyses, including structural, thermal, fluid flow, and vibration analysis, employing FEA and CFD tools.
• Create comprehensive engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, controls engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
• Oversee the prototyping and testing of new energy system designs, validating performance against specifications.
• Conduct root cause analysis for any mechanical failures or performance issues and implement effective solutions.
• Optimize designs for efficiency, reliability, safety, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in energy technologies, materials, and mechanical engineering practices relevant to the sector.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of technical expertise within the team.
• Participate in design reviews and technical presentations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and development, with a specific focus on energy systems (e.g., power generation, renewable energy, energy storage).
• Expert proficiency in 3D CAD software and a strong command of FEA and CFD simulation tools.
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and materials science.
• Experience with components such as turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, battery enclosures, or high-voltage systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proven ability to manage projects and meet demanding deadlines.
