Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of complex mechanical systems, with a focus on robotic platforms and components.
• Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for detailed 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and assembly design.
• Perform rigorous structural analysis, thermal analysis, and simulation using FEA tools to ensure design integrity and performance.
• Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical designs into functional systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
• Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation processes, troubleshooting issues and implementing design revisions.
• Contribute to the selection and sourcing of materials and components, optimizing for cost, performance, and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on projects.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in mechanical engineering, robotics, and manufacturing technologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the design lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and engineering, with a significant portion focused on robotics or complex mechatronic systems.
• Proven proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar).
• Strong understanding of material science, mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with rapid prototyping techniques (3D printing, CNC machining) and their application in design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.
• A strong portfolio showcasing successful design projects is highly advantageous.
• Experience with PLC programming and control systems integration is a plus.
