Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to the Grade 12 Mathematics syllabus, covering both Paper 1 and Paper 2.


• Conduct one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions, adapting teaching methodologies to individual student learning styles and paces.


• Provide detailed feedback on student progress, identifying areas of weakness and developing targeted intervention strategies.


• Create and administer formative and summative assessments to gauge student understanding and preparation for external examinations.


• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and engagement.


• Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and establish collaborative support plans.


• Stay abreast of curriculum changes and examination board requirements relevant to Grade 12 Mathematics in South Africa.


• Utilize a variety of educational tools and technologies, including online platforms, to enhance learning experiences.


• Facilitate engaging and interactive revision workshops leading up to examination periods.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematical Sciences, or a closely related field from a recognized university is essential.


• A postgraduate qualification in Education (e.g., PGCE) is highly advantageous.


• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Mathematics teacher or tutor, with a strong focus on teaching Grade 12 learners.


• Demonstrable expertise in the South African National Senior Certificate (NSC) Mathematics curriculum and examination format.
