Job summary

Goldman Tech Resourcing's client is seeking a Senior Materials Technician with solid experience in road infrastructure projects to contribute to SANRAL and Provincial projects.

You will undertake material sampling and testing, verify that materials and workmanship meet project requirements, and support QA/QC activities on-site across construction sites and materials testing environments. A strong understanding of COTO requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in materials testing for road projects.
• Civil Engineering or Materials Testing qualification required.
• Senior-level materials testing experience on SANRAL/Provincial projects.
• Practical knowledge of COTO requirements and related specs.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake material sampling and testing per specifications.
• Conduct routine and specialised testing of construction materials.
• Verify materials and workmanship comply with project requirements.
• Compile and maintain accurate test reports and technical records.
• Communicate test findings to project personnel and address non-conformances.
