Job summary

Transnet seeks a Master Installation Electrician to lead electrical scheduling, inspections, and compliance for the Pipelines division. The role covers safe operation, preventative maintenance, defect repair, and installation of high voltage equipment.

Candidates must hold a Master Installation Electrician status, with relevant training and experience in hazardous areas and SAP PM. Based at Coalbrook, the incumbent will coordinate with Operations, Instrumentation and Mechanical teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Trade qualification with practical on-the-job experience in Transnet Pipelines.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment used in the plant and Hazardous areas.
• Proficiency in SAP Plant Maintenance (MM & IM) modules and basic MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage COCs and schedule inspections per National Codes and OSH Act.
• Provide guidance and oversee electrical installations.
• Maintain equipment integrity and correct application of electrical equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and report defects.
• Identify and repair defects on live equipment with diagnostic tests.
• Install and commission live equipment, energise and test operations.
• Oversee high voltage switching and safe operation up to 132KV.
