Job summary

The Western Cape Mobility Department of the Western Cape Government seeks an experienced Assistant Director to oversee the collection and disbursement of traffic law fees, including registration, licensing and related payments, based in Cape Town.

The role requires a National Diploma or higher (NQF 6) and at least three years of supervisory experience, with strong knowledge of financial management, policy compliance and stakeholder liaison.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices relevant to the line functions.
• Financial management, monitoring and reporting procedures and systems.
• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to staff; plan, organise and supervise activities.

• Traffic Law Fees Management and disbursement operations.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders; ensure policy compliance and advisory support.
