The Western Cape Government’s Mobility Department invites applications for the post of Deputy Director: Fleet Risk Management (Ref WCMD 84/2025R1) in Maitland, Cape Town. The role focuses on administering fleet risk programmes, crashes, 3rd party claims, recoveries, losses, fraud investigations, and driver management.

Candidates should hold a national diploma or degree and have at least three years of middle management experience, plus a valid code B driving license.

Qualifications

• 3-year National Diploma or B Degree (or equivalent) required.
• 3+ years middle management level experience.
• Valid code B (or higher) driving license.

Responsabilités

• Manage GMT self-insure risk strategy.
• Oversee crashes, 3rd party claims and recoveries.
• Oversee vehicle-related losses and fraud investigations.
• Control traffic offence redirections and misuse reporting.
• Manage driver database and cross-border correspondence as fleet proxy.
• Human resource management.
• Manage budget for Fleet Risk Management.
• Prepare input for statutory reporting.
