Job summary

Bright Placements seeks a Maintenance Manager for a large student residence in Rustenburg. You will lead all maintenance operations, manage budgets, supervise technicians and external contractors, and ensure safety and compliance across buildings and utilities.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, asset lifecycle management, reporting, and improving resident experience through reliable facilities services.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, or related field.
• Trade certification (Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations across the large student residence.
• Oversee planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across the residence.
• Ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests for rooms, common areas, and plant equipment.
• Implement and manage a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Maintain asset registers and equipment lifecycle plans.
• Manage and supervise maintenance staff and external contractors.
• Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Conduct safety trainings and toolbox talks; ensure OHSA compliance.
