The role requires deep hands-on knowledge of DFSMS, GDPS, VSAM, and IBM DS8000, with mentoring responsibilities and collaboration across teams. A relevant tertiary qualification and IBM storage certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 7–15+ years of mainframe infrastructure experience.
• 5+ years in storage administration and support.
• Experience in large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise storage environments.
• Perform storage allocation, migration, and optimization activities.
• Monitor storage performance and capacity utilization.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Support storage-related projects and upgrades.
• Resolve complex storage incidents and problems.
• Develop storage standards and best practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis for storage-related issues.
• Provide technical mentoring to junior team members.
