Job summary

Benchmark International in Cape Town seeks a driven business professional to join our Transactions Team. The role is client-facing, negotiating with senior levels, and requires the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

You will have a degree and corporate finance experience from an accountancy firm, corporate finance boutique or business brokerage. Strong numeracy, communication, and CRM skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Law or strong financial background advantageous.
• Corporate finance experience in an accountancy firm, corporate finance boutique or business brokerage is advantageous.
• Ability to advise clients and guide junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working knowledge of the client and vendor requirements.
• Set the strategic direction of the project and allocate resources.
• Understand client financial performance and prepare for meetings.
• Facilitate client/buyer meetings and follow up after discussions.
• Guide deal structures and negotiate commercial terms.
• Communicate offers and responses between clients, buyers, and advisors.
• Liaise with Transactions Director on progress and developments.
• Maintain detailed records and CRM updates.
