Placements24 seeks a Logistics Route Planner in Mahikeng, North West. You will optimize daily routes for a large fleet, leveraging Route4Me/ORTEC to boost efficiency and reduce costs, while coordinating with dispatch, drivers and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires 3+ years in logistics, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in route optimization software. A relevant qualification in logistics or supply chain is preferred.

• 3+ years in logistics, route planning, dispatch, or transportation management.
• Experience with route optimization software and logistics tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy.
• Understanding of transportation logistics and distribution networks.

Responsabilités

• Develop and optimize daily delivery routes for a fleet of vehicles, considering time windows, capacity, traffic, and fuel efficiency.
• Use Route4Me, ORTEC or similar software to create efficient and cost-effective routes.
• Analyze mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with dispatch and drivers to ensure smooth route execution and address deviations.
• Maintain records of routes, driver assignments, and performance metrics.
• Monitor delivery performance against schedules and KPIs, reporting findings and adjustments.
• Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Communicate route instructions and changes to drivers.
