About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Logistics Manager to lead their extensive logistics operations. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to manage and optimize supply chain networks from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing and executing logistics strategies, overseeing transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities, and driving continuous improvement across all facets of the supply chain. This leadership role requires a visionary individual who can leverage technology and best practices to achieve significant operational efficiencies and cost savings, impacting our client's national distribution capabilities, including their presence in Vereeniging .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive logistics and supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the management of all transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations on a national scale.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing remote logistics team.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and customs requirements.
• Leverage technology and data analytics to optimize supply chain processes and drive innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with significant experience in strategic planning and execution.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale logistics operations and optimizing complex supply chains.
• Expertise in transportation management, warehousing, inventory control, and international logistics.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in advanced logistics software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
