Job summary

ATS Client in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop and support enterprise-grade systems using Core Java, Spring and Hibernate. You will work in a hands‑on environment delivering robust business applications.

The role emphasizes performance tuning, microservices, ETL workflows, and collaboration with UI teams using Angular/React in a fast-paced onsite setup.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Core Java and Java 8 features (Streams, Lambdas, Optional).
• Excellent understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming and design patterns.
• Experience writing clean, reusable, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Solid understanding of JVM internals, class loading, and memory/performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Batch and Hibernate ORM.
• Strong experience with SOAP services, REST APIs, and JDBC.
• Experience with SQL and relational database design.
• ETL / data integration using Java‑based tools.
• Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• JBoss exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities
