Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment seeks an Expert Java/Angular Front-End Developer in Pretoria, South Africa. The role spans front-end and back-end work, cloud, and DevOps to keep critical systems running smoothly.

You’ll tackle complex challenges, guide peers, and shape scalable, reliable, and user-friendly solutions. You’ll work across technologies including Java, Python, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern web stacks, while driving automated testing and CI/CD improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
• 6+ years' Front-End Development experience.
• 3+ years' Back-End Development experience.
• 3 years' Public Cloud experience, preferably Azure.
• Experience with Java/JavaEE and/or Python3.9+.
• Exposure to modern web technologies and API design.
• Familiarity with DevOps, Infra as Code, and GitOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance front-end functionality using modern web technologies.
• Develop and enhance back-end functionality using Java and/or Python.
• Create and maintain APIs connecting front-end and back-end.
• Build automated tests and improve test coverage.
• Support deployments, releases, and technical rollouts.
• Collaborate with developers across locations.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation.
