Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Auditor in Vereeniging to ensure IT systems and data integrity. You will conduct audits, assess risks, and provide recommendations to strengthen security posture, collaborating with IT and business units.

The role requires at least 5 years of IT auditing experience, strong knowledge of IT control frameworks, and familiarity with South Africa data privacy regulations. On-site presence is required in Vereeniging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT auditing, information security, or risk management.
• Strong understanding of IT control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Proven experience in conducting IT audits, risk assessments, and control testing.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations relevant to South Africa.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network security, and application security concepts.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit projects simultaneously.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at various levels.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute IT general controls and application controls audits.
• Assess compliance with information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and identify weaknesses.
• Perform risk assessments related to information systems and data security.
• Document audit findings, prepare detailed audit reports, and provide actionable recommendations.
