Placements24 is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for cloud migration initiatives. This fully remote role requires leading planning, execution, and governance of complex cloud migration programs across AWS, Azure and GCP, with strong collaboration across engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of PM experience, deep cloud knowledge, and PMP/PRINCE2/CSM desirability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT project management experience with a strong focus on cloud migration projects (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Proven track record delivering complex, multi-phased cloud migrations.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures and services.
• PM certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CSM are highly desirable.

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale cloud migration projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans: scope, timelines, resources, budget, risks.

You will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and successful completion of complex cloud migration initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale cloud migration projects, managing all aspects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams, cloud architects, infrastructure engineers, and business stakeholders to define migration strategies and roadmaps.
• Ensure successful migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Manage project risks and dependencies, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues.
• Facilitate effective communication and reporting to all levels of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• Implement and optimize agile project management practices to ensure iterative delivery and responsiveness to change.
• Oversee the procurement and management of third-party vendors and service providers as needed.
• Ensure that all migrated systems meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Drive post-migration optimization and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on cloud migration projects (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-phased cloud migration projects.
• In-depth understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services.
• Expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Strong technical background or ability to comprehend complex technical details.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.
• PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and DevOps practices is a plus.
