Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Senior IT Operations Engineer to design, administer and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, and to implement IT operations policies. The role includes supporting end users at 2nd/3rd line, and serving as standby escalation after hours.

Applicants should have 5+ years in IT operations, strong admin skills in Windows and Linux, Office 365, and DNS/certificate management; with backup/DR tools like VEEAM and Hyper-V experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting an IT technical environment.
• Experience in incident, problem, and change management.
• Proficient in Office 365 administration and OS administration (Windows/Linux).
• Strong documentation and technical authoring skills.
• Knowledge of ITIL is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, administer and maintain the company IT infrastructure.

Senior IT Operations Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, administer, and maintain the companys IT infrastructure.
• Create and implement policies, procedures, and standards for IT operations and services.
• Keep up to date with rapid technological changes.
• Support the administration of a wide area and local network.
• Provide technical 2nd and 3rd level support to end users.
• Implement, maintain, and administer backup and disaster recovery systems and processes.
• Document and report on systems, including design, SOP, root causes of faults, and other IT reports as required by management from time to time.
• Mentor colleagues and peers both in the IT space.
• Serve as the standby and after-hours escalation point for support issues.
• Comply with financial services legislation.

Experience in the following technologies and concepts:

• HP Synergy / Server Blade Infrastructure.
• Storage Technologies Preferably HPE and Fibre Channel.
