Job summary

Santam seeks a Senior IT Auditor in Cape Town to join Group Internal Audit. You will conduct risk-based IT reviews—ITGC, application controls, IT governance and risk management—across Santam and partners. You will plan, execute, and report findings, working with various stakeholders and mentoring junior staff.

The role requires strong IT skills, stakeholder engagement and the ability to manage multiple audit assignments independently, with national travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-like qualification in science, commerce, engineering, technology or information systems.
• 4+ years IT audit/consulting/risk management experience with proven delivery.
• Experience in ITGC and application controls across varied environments.
• Knowledge of security/control frameworks and internal audit methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IT audit assignments focusing on ITGC, application controls and governance.
• Plan, execute and report on audits with risk-based approaches and stakeholders.
• Draft findings, root cause analyses and practical action plans with management.
• Ensure audit work is documented in GIA tools and meets quality standards.
• Assist in reporting to audit committees; maintain communication with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior auditors and support internal audit processes.
