Job summary

Liquid Thought is seeking a proactive IT Administrator to own and support local IT infrastructure, networks, and systems. You will manage security, backups, and vendor coordination while ensuring business continuity.

The role requires independence to improve key IT systems and provide second-line support beyond a traditional helpdesk. Experience with Active Directory and Windows Server is essential, with a focus on data protection and POPIA/FICA compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in IT or related field.
• 2–4 years IT support experience with LAN/network focus.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, software & networking.
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server & Office 365.
• Familiar with IT security best practices and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain office network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, cabling, Wi‑Fi, printers).
• Ensure high availability and stability of LAN and internet connectivity.
• Proactively monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
• Maintain VoIP and telephony systems in coordination with service providers.
• Support server infrastructure (file servers, domain controllers, backup servers).
• Manage Active Directory (users, groups, GPOs, and permissions).
• Ensure IT asset management, including procurement, inventory, and lifecycle tracking.
