Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering (water focus), or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience designing and managing agricultural irrigation systems.
• Proficiency with irrigation design software and hydraulic calculations.
• Strong understanding of water resources, soil-water-plant relationships, and irrigation scheduling.
• Experience with pump systems, filtration, and automated irrigation controls.
• Excellent project management and on-site communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, center pivot) tailored to crop and soil needs.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure.
• Assess existing systems to identify improvements and water savings.
• Develop water management plans and schedules with production needs and water availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve irrigation equipment and distribution issues.
• Stay current with irrigation tech, water conservation, and regulations.
