Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field with irrigation specialization.
- 4+ years hands-on experience designing, installing, and maintaining agricultural irrigation systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software for irrigation design and mapping.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer customized irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, center pivot) tailored to crops and terrain.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of irrigation infrastructure per design specs.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on irrigation systems and troubleshoot issues.
- Monitor water usage, system efficiency, and soil moisture, optimizing performance and conservation.
- Manage procurement and inventory of irrigation equipment, parts and supplies.
- Train farm staff on operation and basic maintenance of irrigation systems.
