Qualifications

• Admitted SA attorney with Intellectual Property specialization.
• Minimum of 6 years’ relevant IP experience, ideally with a technical background.
• Proven track record in IP portfolio management, licensing and transactional IP work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IP strategies to protect and leverage the company’s IP assets.
• Draft, review and negotiate IP-related agreements including licensing and technology transfer.
• Manage the registration and maintenance of patents, trademarks and other IP rights globally.
• Advise on IP clearance, infringement issues and potential litigation matters.
• Conduct IP due diligence for acquisitions, mergers and partnerships.
• Stay current with IP laws and trends, providing proactive advice to business units.
