You will manage patent and trademark portfolios, advise on protection and enforcement, and collaborate with engineers and clients to safeguard valuable assets in a fast-changing tech landscape. Hybrid role with in-office collaboration and remote work.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 7 years of specialized experience in Intellectual Property law.
• LL.B degree or equivalent; technical/scientific degree desirable (Engineering/Sciences).
• Proven experience in patent and trademark prosecution and contentious matters.
• Strong understanding of copyright and trade secret law.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Experience in IP litigation or transactional work is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prosecute patent and trademark portfolios for a diverse range of clients.
• Advise clients on IP strategy, including registration, protection, and enforcement.
• Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and licensing transactions.
• Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements, such as licensing, collaboration, and R&D agreements.
• Represent clients in IP litigation matters, including infringement and validity disputes.
• Provide opinions on patentability, freedom to operate, and trademark clearance.
• Stay abreast of developments in IP law and technology relevant to client industries.
• Collaborate with patent agents and other legal professionals to achieve client objectives.
• Educate clients on best practices for IP management and protection.
