Job summary

Network Finance in Midrand, South Africa, seeks a seasoned Internal Auditor to execute risk-based audits from planning through reporting. You will assess the effectiveness of internal controls, governance structures, and risk management processes, and present findings to management.

You will build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, support enterprise risk assessments, and contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Honours in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' internal audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, governance and compliance.
• Experience in operational, financial, and risk-based audits.
• Exposure to IT General Controls (ITGCs) and application controls advantageous.
• Ability to independently manage multiple audits from planning to final reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute risk-based internal audits from planning to reporting.
• Assess effectiveness of internal controls, governance structures, and risk management processes.
• Identify control deficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to management.
• Conduct follow-up reviews to ensure actions are implemented.
• Assist with enterprise risk assessments and special investigations.
• Build relationships with operational and executive stakeholders.
• Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodologies.
