Job summary

S-RM in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Associate to lead a small team of analysts maintaining the Global Security Insight platform. You will oversee output quality, coordinate quarterly thought leadership, and liaise with the Associate Director on strategy and training.

Based in Cape Town with hybrid work (minimum two days in office per week), you will manage deadlines, supervise threat intelligence tasks, and support crisis responders globally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years in a similar role with at least 2 years in managing a team.
• Experience in threat intelligence research, writing and analysis.
• Experience coordinating, managing and editing analytical outputs.
• Experience delivering analysis through structured methodologies (threat assessments, horizon scanning).

Responsibilities

• Direct line management for analysts maintaining GSI outputs.
• Editorial oversight for 220+ country risk reports and scores quarterly.
• Quality assurance for security alerts in Daily Digest emails.
• Coordinate quarterly thought leadership bulletins on political violence and geopolitical risks.
• Liaise with Associate Director on strategy and site/content improvements.
• Coordinate 24/7 threat monitoring support for crisis responders globally.
• Support on ad hoc client work and analytical contributions.
