Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance claims adjusting with a proven track record of handling complex claims.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance principles, practices, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel within the Bloemfontein region; valid driver's license.
• Professional certifications in insurance (e.g., CIP) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate insurance claims per policy coverage and regulations.
• Conduct thorough interviews with claimants, witnesses, and other parties to gather information.
• Analyze policy provisions to determine coverage and liability.
• Assess damages and determine settlement amounts.
• Mentor junior claims adjusters and guide the team in best practices.
• Maintain accurate claim files in the claims management system.
• Coordinate with legal counsel, engineers, and other experts as needed.
