Copper Quail is seeking a qualified Project Engineer to join our team in Sandton, South Africa. This role involves providing engineering leadership and supporting major infrastructure project delivery. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in engineering or construction and possess a National Diploma, B.Tech, B.Eng, or B.Sc. in Electrical or Civil Engineering.

The Project Engineer will manage engineering deliverables, ensure compliance with project standards, and coordinate multi-disciplinary technical teams. A strong background in infrastructure projects and proficiency in tools like MS Projects or Primavera are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in construction, engineering, or consulting.
• Experience in electrical, civil, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership and technical project support.
• Manage engineering deliverables across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Coordinate technical input from multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and SHEQ requirements.
• Manage design partners and technical information flow.
• Support project planning, budgets, timelines, and execution.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical project documents.
• Support procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors from a technical perspective.
