Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Production Manager to oversee and optimize production operations in Randburg, Gauteng. The role requires driving productivity improvements, implementing lean manufacturing, and ensuring safe, high-quality output across a large workforce.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial engineering, a track record in production management, and the ability to lead and develop teams of supervisors, line leaders, and operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in production management in industrial manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading large teams and driving lean initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of lean, Six Sigma and other process-improvement methods.

About the Role

Our client, a leading industrial firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Production Manager to oversee and optimize their production operations in Randburg, Gauteng . This leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of the production floor, ensuring the efficient and safe manufacturing of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering, a proven track record in production management, and the ability to lead and motivate a large workforce. You will be instrumental in driving productivity improvements, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and ensuring that production targets are met consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily production activities to ensure targets are met efficiently and safely.
• Develop and implement production schedules and plans to optimize resource utilization.
• Manage and lead a team of production supervisors, line leaders, and operators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in production management within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in leading and managing large teams.
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using production management software and ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Randburg, Gauteng .
