Job summary

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney with at least 7 years of dedicated commercial litigation experience.
• Proven track record managing complex litigation in South African courts.
• Strong knowledge of procedural law, evidence, and corporate dispute resolution.
• Experience managing outside counsel and controlling budgets.
• Ability to work autonomously under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement litigation strategies for pending and potential actions.
• Manage pre-trial discovery, including document review and depositions.
• Supervise external litigation counsel for efficiency and alignment.
• Advise business leaders on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
• Represent company in mediations, arbitrations, and settlements.
