Placements24 is seeking a Senior Immunologist to join our vaccine R&D team at our Soweto facility. You will design and execute in vitro and in vivo immunogenicity studies to evaluate novel vaccine candidates, interpreting complex data and preparing detailed reports.

You will mentor junior researchers, collaborate with virologists and formulation scientists, and contribute to publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years post-doctoral or industrial immunology experience.
• Proven expertise with flow cytometry and immunoassays.

Responsabilités

• Design, perform, and analyze immunological assays to assess vaccine responses.
• Conduct in vivo vaccine efficacy studies in animal models.
• Characterize immune cell populations and cytokine profiles.
• Develop new immunological assays and protocols.
• Interpret complex data and prepare scientific reports.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to advance candidates.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to publications.
