Job summary

AECOM in Cape Town is seeking an ICT Engineering Design professional to join our Building Engineering team. You will contribute to designing and implementing ICT infrastructure across buildings, CCTV, access control, BMS interfaces, and data networks.

The role requires extensive experience and certifications in ICT design; you will work within a hybrid model on diverse projects for public and private clients, with opportunities to grow technical leadership within a global infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 from an accredited education facility.
• Certifications and/or Registrations associated with ICT Design.
• Over 8 years experience in ICT engineering design within the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Works under broad supervision.
• Plans and manages implementation and integration of new technologies.
• Provides direction for team members.
• Design and develop ICT systems, including network infrastructure, building management systems, CCTV, access control, and security systems
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of ICT systems
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ICT systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing systems
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and constraints
• Interprets and applies standards but does not create or modify them
