Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in a related field and 7+ years of experience, with strong MATLAB/Simulink, GT-POWER, and data acquisition skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in powertrains.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in automotive powertrain engineering, with a strong focus on hybrid and electric systems.
• Proficiency in powertrain simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, GT-POWER) and data acquisition systems.
• Experience with vehicle integration and control system development for electrified powertrains.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to lead projects and mentor teams.
• Excellent communication skills and knowledge of automotive industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and calibration of hybrid and EV powertrains, including ICE integration, motors, and battery systems.
• Analyze powertrain performance, efficiency, emissions, and NVH using simulations and real data.
• Develop and implement control strategies for energy management in hybrid powertrains.
• Oversee integration of powertrain components across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
• Manage prototype builds, testing, and validation of new designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in vehicle integration, software, and manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex powertrain issues during development and testing.
• Author and maintain design specs, test reports, and analysis results.
• Stay current with hybrid/EV tech, industry trends, and regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
