Placements24 in Johannesburg is seeking a Senior HVAC Installation Technician to lead installation projects for commercial and residential properties. You will oversee from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, strong ability to read blueprints, and relevant F-Gas/NATE certifications. Travel within the Johannesburg area and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an HVAC Installation Technician.
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, refrigeration cycles, and electrical systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
Relevant trade certifications (e.g., F-Gas, NATE) are highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all installations.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Johannesburg area.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform installation of HVAC systems, including ductwork, units, and control panels, according to project specifications and blueprints.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation, ensuring optimal system performance.
Conduct system testing and commissioning, verifying functionality and efficiency before handover.
Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a culture of skill development.
Maintain detailed records of installation progress, materials used, and any deviations from plans.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure project timelines and expectations are met.
