Job summary

Maersk is recruiting HSE Business Partners to be based at our offices in Durban and Cape Town with oversight across sites in both locations. You will drive HSE strategy, embed safety practices into daily operations, and lead audits and investigations to ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.

The role requires a National Diploma in Safety/Environmental Management and 7+ years in a warehousing environment, with professional registration advantageous.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Safety and/or Environmental Management and/or Risk Management or Equivalent.
• 7+ years’ warehousing/distribution HSE experience across multiple sites.
• Professional registration with SAIOSH and SACPCMP (advantageous).
• Experience implementing ISO 14001, 9001 & 45001 and OHSA/NEMA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Drive HSE strategy across assigned sites with strategic leadership.
• Embed HSE into daily operations with Site Leads and management.
• Lead risk assessments, SWIs, and MOC requirements under HSSE framework.
• Conduct HSE audits, incidents investigations, and corrective actions.
• Monitor HSE indicators and report performance to management.
• Manage Contractor HSE compliance and PTW processes.
• Coordinate Emergency Preparedness, drills, and training.
